Gay dating in areas with no scene
#11
RE: Gay dating in areas with no scene
I work in a small town that has the weirdest amount of lesbians for a small town I've ever known of. And with seemingly no reason for it.

Demographics can be quirky like that.

I live in a small town just outside of Manchester in the North and I have no idea what it's like to live out in the middle of nowhere.
I've been on walks and trips to places like snowdonia in Wales and some other desolate country places and I always wonder how it is to live there.
It's not just in terms of dating but in terms of modern first world stuff like easy access to shops, WiFi signal and so on.
I think the most open unpopulated spaces we have here are in Scotland, sometimes I go on Google maps and check out the Isle of skye the idea of being out there and getting lost scares the shit out of me. But it is beautiful I just don't get how people really live out there.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Have you considered long-distance dating? There are plenty of ways to hook up over the internet.

I mean, you've seen a woman, right?  I feel like there's always a reason for stuff like that.  Wink
Personally, I got lucky.  Something like 30% of the residents of Gulfport are gay.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I lived in a small Devon village that likewise had a very large number of lesbian couples in it. How interesting.

I'm looking for a long term relationship. The internet isnot much use for that, for me. I need to meet face to face regularly. And dating apps are a total bust for me because I'm not attractive enough for them.

There's plenty of cishet people. Even I managed to find a girlfriend here, though that was a highly unlikely circumstance tbh. But thr gay scene here is minimal.
