The entire premise of theism is it is right to parrot what other people told them that a supreme being said so. Understanding to the degree capable of distinguishing the accuracy what has been alleged to them is in principle beyond their reach and therefore not possible, so understanding can only be play acted, and not attempted in earnest.

You know, when a simp comes in and says, "Science" does something, it's obvious that they are...simps. Science is a method, a tool, used by people. It isn't a person. That said, people make up all kinds of shit, scientists or not. But the scientists eventually get their chops busted when they are wrong. The religious? There are so many excuses waiting in the wings for their turn that it's disgusting.

For one thing, science never proves anything. It just keeps making more and more implausible, for example, the claim the sky is a sheet of hammered metal, until not even believers believe it anymore and they are reduced to telling us the Hebrew word for firmament (raqa) meant vapor all along.
