In Mono (not the famous one having something to do with NET framework, some Croatian one), they gave me a task to make a CRUD list of cars using ReactJS and MobX in a month. I had barely heard about ReactJS and I hadn't even heard about MobX, so I failed at it and they rejected me.

So, apparently you need to find a company looking for incompetent employees.

I have always thought companies were, at the interviews, asking algorithmic problems. You know, depth-first search, inverting a binary tree, sorting a linked list in O(n*log(n)) time... something like that. And I think that, at one point, they were indeed asking such questions. But now they have learned the lesson not to do that. Right when I need to get my first job.

And what do computer engineers do at fish canneries?

They can fish. Duh.

Are you really saying you're disappointed that companies (in your view) are no longer looking for incompetent candidates and that's disappointing to you because you won't be able to get a job?!?

Then why do they have scales?

I think you put a GOTO in that sentence somewhere. Have you checked the code?

My mistake.  You can tune a piano and you "can" tuna fish.

Well... yes.

If you're incompetent and know it, wouldn't that indicate you're not ready to take the position?
