PS - I have never said anything remotely sounding like climate denialism. I'm in school to be a horticulturalist, ffs. I sort of like the planet, considering it's my home here in the vastness of space and all.
It's the over-the-top language and human arrogance I think is ridiculous.
Here: I rag on conservatives all the time, but I equally loathe bleeding heart liberals who want to PC the place up and sit in drum circles singing kumbayah and pretending each tree has a dryad living in it. If the people who attend Earth Day rallies and "Save-the-Planet" gatherings are a measure of knowledge required to 'save' this floating blue ball, well...there's a lovely saying that goes "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
We have ways of eliminating or toning down the damage we DO inflict - but they're not politically expedient. That's partially an education problem, and partially an apathy problem, and I'd say a good deal a HUMAN problem because people who don't have enough to eat or barely a roof to sleep under, which is a good portion of the world's population, don't give a flying fuck what Al Gore has to say on energy usage.

Don't you ever research on your own? This isn't just covered on fox, and by the way I never watch tv because it's all brainwashing propaganda. Animals are at peace with nature except for us. We need to learn a balance, we cant take everything we want to do as we please because eventually their will be nothing to take.

we have ways of "limiting" the damage we inflict but we do damage the planet. We do have enough food, wealth and homes for everyone in the world but aslong as there are rich people there will be poor and suffereing people. People are starving in the world because their governments have control over all the resources and they don't like sharing otherwise they wouldn't be in power. Rich people live off the backs of many poor and they don't give a shit otherwise they wouldn't be rich.
Anyways it doesn't matter, your better off rich and guilty then poor and innocent.
Live every day as if already dead, that way you're not disappointed when you are.

Nature reaches equilibriums, but that doesn't mean one species can't force another out - be it animal or vegetable.

i think the problem is simply that the world is completely overpopulated.
with the enormous amount of people in the world it's no wonder we're overconsuming everything imaginable, oil, food, forests, metals etc.

You implied that I get my news from fox, why would that be? Because I supplied one link to it, there are dozens of less entertainment based, boring news channels that report the same thing's as fox. Just because fox has turned into entertainment instead of news, it doesn't me they don't report something real once in a while.

Naturally it happens on very small levels, nature didn't bring toads to austraillia or sweet clovers to america. What about the super algea taking over the ocean floor as a result from being genetically engineered to live in any fishtank.

The viable parts of the world are overpopulated. No one wants to move to the ones that are less viable, for obvious reasons.

Unless you can explain to me how America's obesity truly has anything to do with it.
Personally I like to think if more mothers encouraged their children to become Norman Borlaugs and spent less time shoveling food down their childrens' throats saying "there are starving children in Ethiopia!" we might have less of a problem.
In the meantime, my own garden isn't getting tended by itself. Ciao!
