Natural Selection Seems Insufficient

And that's why you sound like a lunatic.

Yup. Right now, my common sense is telling me that a Bronze Age Canaanite deity who was overly fond of child sacrifice isn't the reason that magnets stick to my fridge.

Quote:Then you will understand that the only way for Yahweh to reliably reveal Himself is by an invincible revelation, i.e. one that is irresistibly persuasive. That's the only way it could feasibly work, right? For the last 500 years, evangelicals refer to this experience as the Inward Witness of the Holy Spirit.

Magic! For when you look like a nutjob but need credibility.

Quote:Now proceed with your anticipated mis-extrapolations of what I just said, like virtually everyone else around here seems to do.

When you have the same problem with everybody else, they aren't the problem. I'm guessing this isn't the first forum where you've been called insane, is it? Take the hint and do a little self-examination.

But he definitely has dangly bits. Facepalm God's intangible balls that's stoopid.

Misextrapolation. Do you have any common sense?

Yup. It's telling me that there's nothing sensible about you or your god.

Random potshots and moving target. Nothing much worth addressing here. Maybe 1 thing.

You alleged magic of the Inward Witness. Nope it's all physical, and the biblical data seems reasonably clear on that point.

For example, He reaches into the human brain and steers its electrochemical flow of thoughts toward belief in Him.

He also utilizes physical sensations, as I discussed earlier, to foster belief in His existence and Presence.

There is nothing magical about it.

I personally don't subscribe to magical dynamics like the idea of intangible gravity moving matter.
