We're fairly consitantly busy yes. If you would like a specific debate , there is a seldom used debate thread, which would fascilitate actual debates. Most of everything else is far to discordant to be considered more than a range from discussion down to mental vomit.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

New member here, and hoping to cause as little a fuss as I can.
Firstly, I do not wish to turn this introduction into a debate. That's not my style, I'd much rather keep things civil and formal here and then tear each other to shreads later on, okay?
Firstly, I'm an ex-Atheist who came to the deen of Islam in 2007.
I've had a bit of a lurk in the Islam forum, and I can't wait to participate. I thought I'd join now, and post when I can. But for the next month or two I may be pretty silent due to wedding plans and moving house, after then though, may the fuss begin.
Abu Taj al Deen.
I'm new here too.. so I can't really welcome you... However, I am very interested in hearing more of what made you accept Islam.. *Note of disclosure - I was a Muslim for appx 15 years before now...

I'm responsible for half of the mental vomit on the forum ^_^

That seems an odd attitude for an "atheist."

Welcome! Thanks for the welcome.
It's very common, the more Muslim converts you meet - the more ex-Atheists you seem to meet. I know many.

That seems an odd attitude for an "atheist." Do note, this was after a long time. It was a slow going process of self examination, enquiry and exploration for me. In the beginning, I didn't believe in my Creator, by the end I did, and do!
Not that odd, as at the time I came to this conclusion I no longer held Atheist views nor belief.
