Nope. We wouldn't function without them. We are just chemicals and atoms mate. Nothing more.
If we didn't function on chemicals, then we wouldn't be affected by drugs.

They suffer from a fear of having no point to existance. Hense their constant need to say there must be something else, we must be special etc.
