Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Prosser Allegedly Chokes Female Justice

Last week, before announcing their 4-3 decision that overturned county Judge Sumi’s void on the collective bargaining law that was passed in clear and documented violation of Open Meeting Laws, Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson let her written dissent speak to the partisan nature of the hasty court ruling, which took place just eight days after hearing oral arguments.

Abrahamson is, of course, the “bitch” Prosser said he would “destroy”. Prosser justified his actions by accusing the two female justices, Abrahamson and Bradley, of being “manipulative.” During debate centering on the overturning of Judge Sumi’s void last week, Bradley asked Prosser to leave her office. He responded by putting his hands around her neck.

Then a criminal complaint should be filed. Assault is illegal - even in Wisconsin.

Nah, looks to me like he charged into her office, yelled at her, was asked to leave and needed to give her neck a good massage.

Given the conduct of Scott Walker and his ilk and violations of the open meeting laws, this wouldn't be a new low, just an expected low.

Not that it makes it any less reprehensible or criminal.

Having this matter under investigation is one thing. However, a jurist who chokes another jurist and thereby commits assault at the very least, is quite another. One wonders, and it is indeed suspect, that given her knowledge of the law why didn't Justice Bradley have the man arrested? An investigation on two fronts could then occur and the issue would receive the attention it deserves for being a logical reaction to an irrational assault.

Kind of hard to have an arrest when a peace officer is not there to see it nor is called.

Then again, it is hard to call for help when someone is giving you an unwanted, over zealous neck massage...

It shouldn't. Inflicting massive blunt trauma to the governor there should be a right like voting.

Yep, an official investigation has been launched.

Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs announced today his agency has turned over to the Dane County Sheriff an investigation into allegations of a physical altercation between Supreme Court Justices Ann Walsh Bradley and David Prosser.

Tubbs said in the statement he decided to turn the case over after consulting with members of the court about the June 13 incident…..

The Wisconsin Judicial Commission issued a statement this afternoon confirming it had received information concerning “an incident that occurred at the Wisconsin Supreme Court” and authorized an investigation at its meeting on Friday. The commission did not offer any specifics on what it is probing.
