If I'm out of bounds here just say so and I want say anything else, that statment is past tense. Did he suggest you go there or did you think that particular school was the one that would please him.
Do not completely misunderstand me, I'm not saying that BJU is totally bad, it does provide a good education, my problem with it is that they are a untrusting school and care more about their reputation than the students learning what the real world is about. Children that have gone through christian schools or home schooling then to BJU are not prepared for the real world and when they are on there own make mistakes that do harm to christianity, not all of them but some.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Of course he suggested BJU. I wouldn't have gone otherwise ... by that age I was already having a LOT of doubts about your vile religion and your bloodthirsty god.

I cannot offer up a better explanation of why I attended that university, and it's difficult to put into words the things I felt almost 20 years ago now. I'd rather not turn this into a thread about the ups and downs of a father and son relationship. Suffice it to say, we were close ... not so much anymore.

Your question was fair, but lets call that explanation good. I'd rather focus on the stupidity of an institution rather than the mistakes of my old man.

RE: BJU -- Education in Hell
The following is in reference to this rule in the BJU student handbook (also in the OP):

BJU Student Handbook Wrote:Abercrombie & Fitch and its subsidiary Hollister have shown an unusual degree of antagonism to biblical morality.
Therefore, BJU asks its students not to patronize these stores, wear their clothing or display articles containing their names or logos.

The way that rule is stated in the handbook - it makes it sound like the rule is "optional". It is not. My brother was telling me about a young friend of his who graduated a couple years ago from BJU ... Sean.

Sean said that students caught wearing Abercrombie and Fitch were immediately given demerits and told to cover the logos with tape. Well, this created a whole new problem for the school. You see, Abercrombie and Fitch is an expensive brand name and many students could not afford that particular label anyway. However, like Sean, they could afford a role of duct tape.

LOL! In no time at all, a large portion of the student body could be seen with "Abercrombie & Fitch" brands all over the campus. Sean told my brother, "It was the greatest thing that ever happened to my wardrobe ... I suddenly had a closet full of designer pants and shirts. I never could afford their clothes, now all I had to do was just find a new place to throw on a small piece of tape." "Everyone I knew had a role of duct tape."

LOL ... Brilliant!

LOL at the first video... Funny how they don't want such harsh language on campus, but really funny when you realize the initials for the place are BJU. I wonder if anyone's ever pointed that out to the dean?

Students are to attend chapel Monday through Thursday

Damn, that much church attendance would drive me insane.

Why not just study harder?

Don't forget that between chapel 4 days a week and 3 sunday services, they also have Bible Vespers, Singspirations, and required Bible doctrine classes. The term "BRUTAL" doesn't even come close to describing it. I can't believe I lasted as long as I did before I got the boot.

I've got to post some more shit. There's some crazy shit about this place. For instance. One of their founding members was a grand dragon for the KKK.

With an acronym like BJU, I would think that student physical contact would be expected.
