Actually, considering that he was the son (foster or otherwise) of a carpenter, and that robes do not work well with that line of work, it's likely that he did wear trousers at least some of the time. That said, they probably wouldn't too dressy.

This is the sort of clothing lower class people in that part of the world wore back in Jesus day. Only "barbarians" such as Scythians and Germans wore trousers back in those days.
