Did you notice, though, that in the article it mentioned a couple times how he had to undergo psychological testing in order to prove that he was able to drive? I bet a Jewish person wearing a yarmulke or a Muslim woman wearing a headscarf wouldn't have had to undergo psychological testing, when it's arguable that anyone believing in religion really should.

Then again, it is a colander he was wearing on his head.

He should have worn his pirates outfit like any normal Pastafarian and he would have been fine.

I think I'll add a colander to my hat collection, I'd look good in a colander, nice ventilation too.

I honestly couldn't care less as long as their faces aren't covered. What damn difference does it make if someone is wearing a hat or not? It's nothing but some absolutely arbitrary requirement people are forced to comply with.

And it doubles as a crash helmet, of a sort.

I always thought it strange my home state would make me take my spectacles off for my photo; they claimed it was for a clear photo, though Restriction A (corrective lenses) was marked on the licence, and if ever I were caught without my glasses, I could be arrested. (As my myopia is so bad the windscreen on my car is out of focus without glasses, it is sort of like driving with my eyes closed without them.)

Legally, with glasses on is the only way a cop should see me driving.
