*tires squealing sound* Wait a fucking minute. Didn't we have a conversation recently about your incessant use of Wikipedia as a source? I am pretty sure it was you that I told I did not accept Wikipedia as a source and you cried that "You do it for atheists." To which I replied, "I have never had a debate with an atheist here in which Wikipedia was used. If I had, I would have brought it up." Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was you. Your arguments border on the hypocritical and when I say border, I am being polite.

We only talk about your god to express the contempt we feel for such a creature if it actually existed.
The two tenets of Atheism- God does not exist, and I hate him :-)

Oh please, I hate Wikipedia, but many atheists on here love it and cite it all the time. So if I find something on it I can use I cite it because I know it is a source they accept, that in no way means that I have to respect the source. It's like when theVOID cited Answers In Genesis to me, I highly doubt he feels it's a reliable source but he thought it appropriate to use at that time. Try citing Wikipedia in any academic piece of writing and see what happens though.

Nearly Stato, God probably doesn't exist and I'm happy with that.
A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?
Did they make all of you switch to those badge avatars?
No. Nobody "makes" us do anything. Cinjin was cool enough to make the pictures and we all just adopted them as avatars because they're cool and nice of him to make.

Do you suffer ADD? I wasted my time because you were not able to read the fact that the man himself, in his manifesto, said he was a Christian.
And of course the CIM has something to do with Biblical Christianity. Do the research.
Quote:...Of course God is benevolent, He is also completely just. Giving his rebellious creation judgment is part of his justice, and yet he gives them better than they actually deserve which is part of His loving nature. That is not the topic at hand though in this thread. I'd avoid Theology if I were you, you suck at it.
You've said that to me before. I forgive you your oral fixation in the name of the Christ you claim to represent.
Claiming to be a Christian does not make you one. I did do my research, and I have concluded that CIM is far from Biblical Christianity, just like most people would conclude.
What? It's not my fault I have to repeat things that you don't seem to understand.

That's a pretty big probably my friend :-)

I wouldn't try citing Wikipedia on anything, unless a client wants it.
At any rate, you did not act like you hated Wikipedia. You defended your use of it to me. That just shows you want to argue. You say now that you held the same opinion I do, yet you argued it at the time and are now arguing in opposition to that initial argument. Hmmm . . .
Stato, the " probably " merely acknowledges the minute possibility of god's existence. I think it is less arrogant than those who state categorically that god exists. Are you arrogant?

Actually, I went back and looked in the "Prayer" thread you are referring to, and I never cited Wikipedia there. I did use it in my “mysteries” thread but that was only because it was convenient and we were not having a debate. You can ask TheDarkestAngel, I have given him grief for using Wiki since I got on here, and I am still not a fan of it. It's a convenient source, but should never be used to try and demonstrate a point. Maybe we should just be glad we actually agree on something?

Knowing something to be true does not make someone arrogant. If I said, "I know that 2+2= 4" would you call me arrogant?

Who said I was referring to that thread? I'm not sure which thread it happened in, but I am almost certain it was you.
