Welcome back, another day on the forums, you have evidence?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

No. People tend to like ideas that match their own pre-conceived ideas and hate ideas that threaten everything they've grown to know. Good ideas are notorious for being laughed at and hated.
Now you're sounding like those who shout "conspiracy!"
If we hated change and new ideas so much, we'd never have new technology, my dear.

Well, that sounds like misguided hubris. No one is laughing or hating your "idea." Furthermore, even if they were, that alone would not make your idea good. You are suffering under some martyr complex that is leading you to believe you are right based only on the fact that you are meeting resistance. Instead, you should involve yourself in the discussion. You are speaking an awful lot about how brilliant ideas tend to be discarded. It leads me to believe that you are already operating under the assumption that your idea is not only brilliant, but it was absolutely correct before you even started this discussion. Why start this thread if you are already convinced of the veracity of your outlandish assertions? Did you expect us all to respond with complete agreement?
It is not the fact that your idea goes against what we already believe that is the problem. It is that your idea is based completely on interpreting language in the bible and assuming that the events you are linking this eruption to are not debatable. The very foundation of your idea relies on something that is not proven. You must first prove that before you can build upon it.

The only personal investment people make in technology is monetary. Ideas, beliefs, etc are far harder to update. My dear. And before you say I cannot update my ideas due to pride holding me back.....I went to church every Sunday for the first half of this year. My dear. I stopped going mainly because of the volcano idea, not because someone told me there was no proof of the Exodus. I am a free thinker. You lot are not. My dear.

It was rough for me to say, yes. Ask around. I'm just waiting with a torch, and here you are, a very real reason to leave the temple standing.

If you stopped going to church over a volcano, I think there's a Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie I can recommend to you.
