I have to say honestly that I've never yet met an atheist who understands Christianity. Does that mean if they understood/ had knowledge they'd be Christian? You don't need to accept the ideas, just understand them. But I don't know anyone that understands that doesn't also accept. That said, I find ignorance to be an acceptable position for an atheist.

Many atheists were formerly devout christians for decades. Quote:Does that mean if they understood/ had knowledge they'd be Christian? You don't need to accept the ideas, just understand them. One could argue - that atheists understand far more and far greater, which is exactly why they choose not to be christians. Quote:But I don't know anyone that understands that doesn't also accept. Utterly ridiculous statement. Purely your own perception and an impossible theory to prove. All you have to say to "legitimize" your point is, "that man simply doesn't understand, that's why he does not accept." That one is so ridiculous it barely even warrants a response. Quote:That said, I find ignorance to be an acceptable position for an atheist. And I find ignorance and arrogance to be the standard position of a christian. When Frodo says: "know", "knowledge", "understand".
Frodo means : "Gets that christy feeling." "I have to say honestly that I've never yet met an atheist who understands Christianity. Does that mean if they understood/ had knowledge they'd be Christian? You don't need to accept the ideas, just understand them. But I don't know anyone that understands that doesn't also accept" translation: "I have to say honestly that I've never yet met an atheist who "gets that christy feeling (about)" Christianity. Does that mean if they "get that christy feeling" they'd be Christian? You don't need to accept the ideas, just "get that christy feeling (about)" them. But I don't "get that christy feeling (about)" anyone that "gets that christy feeling" that doesn't also accept- (THAT CHRISTY FEELING)."
