I hear Charleston in the spring is exceptional, but I try not to end up in SC on purpose if I can help it. I would break that for you.

The last 3 years we have gone there in late September. My wife and her sister would go to some stupid-ass yoga retreat in North Carolina and I would tour the city with a friend who lives nearby.
September in Charleston is not a great time. The humidity is truly impressive! One time we were walking around an old church yard right downtown looking at the grave stones from the mid 19th century and I was dying. She lives there and she couldn't stand it. One of those days where your clothes just stick to your skin. We went to a bar and had a drink. At least they have air conditioning in Charleston.
I absolutely agree with you, as the humidity here is bad enough.
Still, it would be nice to have a beer with you.
OK but let's skip the freakin' church tour!
Ok, so where do I apply to get a chunk out of the let's-fly-Kayenneh-to-the-U.S. fund?
Oh, right, there is no such fund When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

My sister-in-law is in Milwaukee where her husband took a new job. He hates the job and they both hate Milwaukee but they won't be back until late in the year. |
