Sure, you're free to say what you want, but please don't pull a Diamond Deist when someone else calls you on your bullshit.

And I'm not certain as to how the temporal nature of this case have anything to do with the validity of such in the first place.

I used " if " to help you get over your inability to understand why the woman has been charged. I shouldn't have bothered, evidently.
If you can't grasp what this is all about, then frankly we are wasting each other's time.

All you've managed to convey to me, bozo, is that some woman put a doll in a window that offended someone of a protected minority and now said woman is to be tried with charges that are normally reserved for situations where bigots call for the deaths of others, incitement to violence et al.

Looks to me like injustice is occurring.

With that in mind (please, do correct me if I'm wrong), it appears to me that you are sacrificing this woman for the benefit of your ideology and not considering the harm that has been done. Furthermore, because you have yet to give a good argument past "it's racist to meeeeeeeeeeeee", I will maintain that you are acting in a manner most befitting of the religious folks over here in the States who are upset that their personal views on whatever are not taught to everyone.`

At last you are showing some maturity in actually addressing the issue.
I don't want to be repetitious. The court will decide whether the charge is proven. It may go my way, it may go yours. That's life and how our justice system works.
The rest and your opinion of me I won't even give time of day to.
Sorry, go pick a fight with someone else.
I'll resist, even, asking if you are racist.

I highly doubt it... All I can see he is doing is defending free speech.

Arresting someone for having a stuffed toy on their property is ridiculous.

I support absolute free speech and I see this almost as an issue related to it.... You sometimes have to put up with the morons out there.

Aren't you a bit old for dolls?
I think (at least I hope) you knew what I meant. Let me reword it for you in any case: I object to the charge being brought against her. I think it's ridiculous that someone can be prosecuted for having something on display in their window. It's high time the government stopped acting like the morality police and started letting people have their own opinions.

Also, my friend bought me the doll for a joke, because I told him I'd always wanted one, mainly to piss off the uptight PC brigade who think banning toys is going to somehow get rid of racism.

You know I knew what you meant!
You have an opinion which will be tested in court. If the court agrees with you, she will be acquitted.
Watch where you display dolly.

approve of what? if you mean the charge, yes. It is racial harassment of her black neighbours.
You have to acknowledge the significance of the golliwog as proof.
It promises to be an interesting case.

If the woman wants to display a fucking doll in her window she should be allowed to. Anyone offended should think it's their own bloody fault for being a nosy bastard and staring into somebody's windows.

Well, there's an old saying " ignorance is bliss ".
I think you've just given a classic example.

I find the golliwig image offensive. I guess I'm of an age to know the history. If there are people around that are offended, then it would be responsible to respect their feelings.
There was an uproar in my home town when asians first displayed the swastica everywhere at festival time - to them a respected religious symbol had been stolen and abused by the nazis. There was some healing there.
