Very moving story from a theist. I wish more theists were like this...

I don't think there's anything wrong in being fearful. That was her honesty. I don't think she thought her brother was happier either. I think she skimmed over her own reasoning to strike a balance.

Being fearful can often end in rushed decisions and irrationality.

Not being fearful can end up as road surfacing Tongue

Cars rushing at you ( and from the WRONG FUCKING DIRECTION IN ENGLAND) are dangerous.

Fairy tales are not.

Being fearful means you are perpetually scurrying around trying to dodge the big bad tyre, and not standing up and looking to see that you are miles away from any road.

Being fearful, though, can end up in the madhouse.

If you're 'fearful' in traffic, you're a hazard, and shouldn't be there.
In traffic you need to be careful, not fearful.

Yes and they can be a lot of fun. I've always wanted to sacrifice a virgin (haven't found one yet) and have a long list of guests of honour for an auto-da- fey. Both events would probably be held at half time at the Rose Bowl and shown on pay TV. -- the bastards ignored my perfectly reasonable and lucrative suggestion to have public executions and gladiatorial games.,

Aussies watch the Rose Bowl?

Total poppycock!

Fairy tales are the most dangerous forces on this planet. Roman superiority was a fairy tale for the last couple centuries. Riding on momentum. Communist egalitarianism turned out IRL as fascist elitism (55 million dead). As did the infamous fairy tale of the Übermenschen (40 million dead).
The Saracens thought Xtianity was fucking dangerous too. And they had bloody good reason to think so!

And, oh yeah, let's not forget the current en vogue pipedream fairy tale: the American Dream. Ask the ones who paid for that dream, and are going to pay for centuries, if they think it is or isn't dangerous.

And, and, and.
L'histoire, come toujours, se répète.

Fairy tales are a massive waste of humanity's time, energy, and intellect.
Fairy tales paralyse progress.
Fairy tales are fucking dangerous because people believe in them.
