So I guess you could say I inherited him... and given that free will does not exist I suppose I couldn't have chosen to kill hem (despite making the conscious decision to do so).

I'm one of those lucky people who inherited her gods... 3 of which love me, 3 of which hate me, 1 of which I killed, and 1 of which stepped down long ago.

In fact, there is a quick test I can give you that shows that you do have free will. Within the limits of nature and physics that is. If you will something that goes beyond these then whatever you think free will is, is a delusion.

A thought that bothers me from time to time is wondering what would've happened if I had been brought up in a more religious environment. Would I have had the strength to recognise the evidence and break away?

It's a bit of an 'If my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle' question, and it doesn't keep me up all night or anything. But I wonder what would have happened if I had inherited a God?

Likely you would do as most theist do and not believe in God but say you do out of tradition.

Secularism was the god I rejected. It still pulls strongly.

Not an overall a big fan of Dawkins, other then we share the same blood line. Yet, that was an interesting Dawkins presentation.

After touring this entire planet, I have both inherited and chosen views of different God metaphor and through my own imagination of what spiritual sided is, formed my own identity from all sides.

Dawkins dose demonstrate to me how one can pick or be force, or brainwashed toward only one side, then one become limited thinking and will fight for your ego group side, when I love to share all sides.

People are very social animal like wolves, while there is no such things as a lone wolves or it will die without the pack
