RE: Did you choose your God or inherit him?
Since that is no god, you might want to give in to it. Reality is one step away.

So I guess you could say I inherited him... and given that free will does not exist I suppose I couldn't have chosen to kill hem (despite making the conscious decision to do so).

So now I am a Resurrection Creator Goddess Valuable Transsexual Anarchist Silicoid Empress who controls a significant portion of this galaxy. What a mouthful.

I'm one of those lucky people who inherited her gods... 3 of which love me, 3 of which hate me, 1 of which I killed, and 1 of which stepped down long ago. Smile

(Honest.)

Eh Ok.

What makes you think you do not have a free will?

In fact, there is a quick test I can give you that shows that you do have free will. Within the limits of nature and physics that is. If you will something that goes beyond these then whatever you think free will is, is a delusion.

Care to try my test and prove it to youself?

I think watching these two converse will be interesting. Epi - you help me with the food, and Cin - you bring the beer. We're gonna sit and watch this like a trainwreck football game.

It's a bit of an 'If my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle' question, and it doesn't keep me up all night or anything. But I wonder what would have happened if I had inherited a God?

Likely you would do as most theist do and not believe in God but say you do out of tradition.

Neither actually;'to inherit' implies some choice,as one may refuse an inheritance. I had no such luxury.

Who denied you that choice?

As it should. It shows better morals than the other Gods on the table.
You can actually question and challenge that God and have an effect on him.

Let's do it up fiesta style. Enchiladas, tamales, frijoles and Dos Equis.

Murg - I was putting Cin on beer duty because I'm all about the Irish stuff, but I'll submit to your wishes because I like you.

Guinness is one of my faves as far as common beers go. I worked the door at Irish pubs for too long.

Not an overall a big fan of Dawkins, other then we share the same blood line. Yet, that was an interesting Dawkins presentation.

After touring this entire planet, I have both inherited and chosen views of different God metaphor and through my own imagination of what spiritual sided is, formed my own identity from all sides.

Dawkins dose demonstrate to me how one can pick or be force, or brainwashed toward only one side, then one become limited thinking and will fight for your ego group side, when I love to share all sides.

I see man as slightly different from your analogy.
I say we are all in this together, alone.
Not good grammar but it is a truth if understood.
