As far as those ridiculous prophesies go...
He said it's all going to happen within 10 years. You think he knows about the hundreds upon hundreds of failed rapture prophecies that have been predicted by far "better" christians than him over the past 1000 years???
Better yet, do you think he'll be back in here in 10 years to face up to his prediction????
Hi guys and gals,
Today was a lot of fun. I learned how to discuss without getting mad but that seemed to just make you guys mad today.
So, I'm gonna leave, not cuz I'm mad at you but because there's no point in us discussing Christianity vs. atheism. You arent going to win me over and I'm not going to win you over. I just wish now that I learned how to discuss withoout getting mad you guys would have been able to discuss without getting mad or whining or calling me insulting names. You are probably not bad people, you just have your beliefs and that's fine with me. Yesterday I was an old grouch and I already apologized for that. It comes with age but, from my viewpoint you will never get old.
Since I'm leaving and you wont be able to harangue me for what I'm about to say, I'm going to say something that's really going to piss you off. I'm not trying to make you believe it, I'm just saying it so that when it happens you will remember this and say, dammit, he was right.
In less than ten years you are going to see some things happen which were prophesied in the Bible. Whether you believe or not is immaterial cuz they are going to happen period.
There is going to be a war in Israel very soon and you will see Israel win and she will destroy Damascus, Syria, with nuclear weapons and it will never exist as a city again.
You are going to see millions of Christians, and all children below the age of accountability (including babies in the womb) worldwide, disappear in less than a second at the exact same time.
You will see Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya, Sudan and Ethiopia attack Israel and lose their armies completely.
You are going to see a leader rise in the EU and become a world dictator and control your economy and make you worship him as god. He is going to explain the disappearance of the millions of people and children and you are going to believe him. He may say it's part of evolution opr something to do with aliens.
China is going to be in a war where over 2 billion people are killed.
All nations are going to join in a war in Israel, called the War of Armageddon.
I'm not asking you to believe this. Just for you to remember it when you see it. If you are still atheists before you actually SEE Jesus return in the sky, then you will be judged by Him and you WILL bend your knees to Him and acknowledge to Him that you had all the information you needed to believe in Him and deserve the punishment He gives you.
Sorry for what's going to happen to you. I will disappear soon. Now, have fun cursing me and my prophecy to you here. I truly wish it wasnt going to happen to YOU. May God have mercy on your souls.

I was in agreement with you about the Lord's will being done, but this "I will be gone in the twinkling of an eye" thing is not Biblical. That's the "Left Behind" series playing a trick on you. I have not seen one entry in the bible that says people will just suddenly drop out of their clothes and go to the Lord. I do remember it saying "and those of us that are still alive will be caught up in the clouds." Should you return to view this message I want you to pay attention to what I'm telling you:
1. Our bodies will be renewed eventually, but when the Bible says that only the survivors will be caught up it means that many christians and others will die.
2. Revelation tells us that the world will suffer greatly with disasters, famine and war, which will be leveling the earth's population, we will not be floating on a cloud watching this with our harps, we will be in it, while its happening.
3. Revelation also tells us that Christians will be martyred and in the final 3 years before Christs appearance, Christians will be just about wiped out, we'll be a collectors item and we must be firm in our faith for our time of testing.
I wish you stayed long enough for us to discuss this, but you didn't come with a decision to obey the authority here, you came thinking the atheists wanted to change you, instead they wanted to know if you can think for yourself. I hope you like talkjesus. Let me know how it is...I still haven't logged on...I guess I like it here.
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6

Promises, promises.
I jest.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Interesting interpretation of the story. My favorite was number three. I don't hate christians to the point that I would want them to all die, but I find it amusing that it's okay with you. God killing all the "righteous" believers, and sparing all the heathens like me, Muslims, Jews (his "chosen people"), and Hindus among others. Then he'll torture us, right? Because god is a fucking sadist. If your god is real, he sucks, and you can keep him.

I'm glad that he's gone! I've been banned from talkjesus, and trust me, he belongs there. I hope to see you start thinking very soon, salty. You know what helped me? I decided that if god really was what people say he is, he will forgive me for questioning things and letting go of the notion of him/the bible for a while to explore other ideas. If he was real, I would conclude that he was real through my exploration. I ended up here. Never felt more free in my life than when I let all that stuff that I learned as a child go...

Blind faith, or indeed faith in the face of evidence to the contrary would seem to be a strange gift to offer the supposed creator of the human mind. One would imagine that a creator would be familiar with the design and function, and pleased with both.

Let's hope your owners will know how to keep you in the package for sale to the best collectors at a later date. I truly would celebrate xtianity-if it were going extinct. That would be a going out of business sale I could dig.
Yeah, I wouldn't miss christianity either, but I would miss the christians. I have reason to believe that this sentiment is not reciprocal.

Absolutely. Questioning is what we must do.

What about reasoned faith and supporting evidence which wouldn't contradict design and function?
