Edgar Mitchell on Aliens

RE: Edgar Mitchell on Aliens
So theyre just flying by and doodling in random fields what would be the point?

If you had spent vast amounts of time and resources flying to a different solar system would you do any of these things?

Seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

On the other hand, I think it is likely that there is life elsewhere in the gallaxy so who knows? I await more convincing evidence.

Why would you expect them to behave in a way that makes sense to you? After all, they are..

It is people who are convinced by crop circles that annoy me... It is a rather well known fact that they are created by people. I think there is a group that were responsible for most of the main ones, and they owned up to it.

One of my friends believes that crop circles are caused by aliens... Fucking moron.

Who knows? We know. Didn't happen.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It really pisses me off now. I used to find it amusing after a few hours of solid debating... But, now that I have probably clocked in around 50 hours of conversations about it with them, it annoys me.

Go find another fucking thread then idiot.

Go fuck my mother... Hmm... Somehow that doesn't have a good ring to it as an insult. Back to the drawing board.

People do not have to "go mad" to have an experience such as this. This is so well understood it's almost impossible for me to decide where to begin. What you have here is evidence of a belief. Is there anything else that you can produce?

Ok, what are your rational thoughts on the Nasa footage and what ALL those airpilot guys were talking about? Cool Shades

I watched a great programme about crop circles. It showed these guys creating crop circles. It totally debunked the alien connection.

There have been tons of reports done on the subject. The subject of UFO's (at least in the US) is very much part and parcel with the cold war. Many studies have been done on this since, and while the vast majority of instances has been dismissed there are still cases of official UFO's. The sane and reasonable response to the remainder is not to leap to intergalactic aliens as a way of explaining that which has not been explained. There are reasons, other than aliens, that any given UFO can be difficult to identify.

On appealing to authority; There was a real NASA scientist who wrote a book called "The Spaceships Of Ezekiel".

Quote:The Spaceships of Ezekiel (1974) is a book by Josef F. Blumrich (March 17, 1913 - February 10, 2002) written while he was chief of NASA's systems layout branch of the program development office at the Marshall Space Flight Center.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

I don't think that book is non-fiction.
