I think this is just boring silliness, to be honest. Whether you're right or wrong, we both know what we mean. If theists define their God, I can lack belief in that definition of God, despite your assertion that the word has no meaning. They give it meaning by giving it properties and characteristics, like this:
Theist: My God answers prayers, shoots lightning bolts at the wicked and is merciful.
They've provided the definition. I then ask for the evidence. It's a non-point you're making.

Quote:God
noun
1. the one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe.
2. the Supreme Being considered with reference to a particular attribute: the God of Islam.
3. ( lowercase ) one of several deities, especially a male deity, presiding over some portion of worldly affairs.
4. ( often lowercase ) a supreme being according to some particular conception: the god of mercy.
5. Christian Science . the Supreme Being, understood as Life, Truth, love, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Principle.
verb (used with object) god·ded, god·ding. ( lowercase )
9. to regard or treat as a god; deify; idolize.
interjection
10. (used to express disappointment, disbelief, weariness, frustration, annoyance, or the like): God, do we have to listen to this nonsense?
Origin: before 900; Middle English, Old English; cognate with Dutch god, German Gott, Old Norse goth, Gothic guth
Nope, no meaning whatsoever. Are you high or just being silly?
Thank you, you just proved my point.
You just posted ten definitions for "god" and atheism is the lack of belief in "god" or "gods"
I don't see it referring to a specific definition. When a word means that many things, you must specify which definition of the word you are referring to. Atheism fails to do this.
Mkay. How about all of them? We disbelieve in all of them.

Who are you to set requirements for what is or is not legitimate?? Also, just because there are many definitions of what god is, does not mean that a person has not isolated one in his own mind and then chosen not to believe it.
You said yourself that most people view god as a supernatural being capable of creating the universe. Most atheists that I know view "god" in the exact same way and therefore have INDEED defined god and now chosen not to believe in him.
So what exactly is your point??? Please tell me you don't really believe that your "insight" on this topic trumps everyone else's views on all things existential? If you're that arrogant you should look into Christianity ... that would be a REALLY good fit for you ... those people are NEVER wrong. Just ask them.

Oh, so you are just being silly then. Using your un-logic I can assert that there is no such thing as cheese because it can be a verb as well as a noun.

LOL, it's silliness? I expected more. No, I don't know "what they mean"
Look here as to why you can't say you lack a belief in "god" without being illogical:

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

So you're saying that you can say you lack a belief in something ,even if it has multiple definitions, without specifying which definition you are referring to?
Alright, let's try an experiment.
I'll make a new word: Gooblebloc
These are its definitions:
1.A rare type of cheese
2.a flying pink elephant
3.plastic
4.air
Okay, it's rational to claim that I lack a belief in Gobblebloc because I don't need to specify what I'm referring to!
