RE: Your Blood Type
O+

Little fact for you. Interestingly I found out blood type is determined, in part, by the ABO blood group antigens being present on red blood cells. Group O has no A or B antigens present at all hence why it is called "O" to start with, and is often called '0' (zero, or null) in other languages because of this.

My blood serum contains IgM anti-A and anti-B antibodies that work against the A and B blood group antigens. Because of this "compatibility issue" I may donate my blood to A+, B+ and AB+ recipients but can only receive blood from another individual with either O− or O+ and since my mother is O− I cannot undergo blood transfusion for her if it were a matter of life or death. O− bloodtypes are invaluable in that any other blood type can become a recipient but they themselves are vulnerable in that they can only accept another O− individual as their donor.

I knew that already, but it's fascinating, nevertheless. It can be life threatening for a - mother to carry a + baby, since if the baby's blood somehow comes in contact with the mother's, her blood starts to clot in protest.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I noticed that, I thought O was supposed to be the rarest

Hmm .. Suppose that has anything to do with atheism? Thinking

Thought it was actually the 2nd (usually) Rh + baby, and that it was dangerous to the baby as the mothers antibodies (which she doesn't make until after first exposed to + blood, unlike with A and B antibodies) can cross the placenta and start attacking the baby's blood.
