Get new friends.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Yeah, I'm getting to where I hate facebook. I've got one friend (JW) who seems to post nothing but bible verses all the time. Everyone else always makes the typical posts about how great God is, blah blah blah. It does frustrate me that I can't just let everyone know my true feelings, so I guess I need to keep coming here where I can say what I want about religion and not have the whole world take offense. Yes, I do have to remain in the closet about my atheism because I live in a small religious town and run a business here. If everyone knew I didn't believe, I'm sure our business would be in trouble.

You have to decide to what extent you want to argue/discuss/debate with them. Speaking from experience, it's going to always be annoying, and they are always going to be pushing their beliefs and norms onto your life regardless of your age or situation. Ergo, you are going to either have to keep hiding your opinions or eventually simply tell them what you think and start saying "tough" when they tell you something mundane you said makes someone sad. Or point out that something they said makes you sad, and therefore you can all sit around talking about nothing but carpet.
Personally, I feel much better making the decisions I want rather than trying to accommodate them, despite the annoyance of continually telling them that it isn't my fault if they don't like something I think, say, or do.
With that said, you can either limit their facebook privileges, say what you want to say and respond how you want to respond, delete annoying comments, or not express yourself.

I think what frustrates me is that they can spout off all they want about their religion and it's accepted, but if I were to even casually mention not believing in God, I'm sure I'd have an influx of "concerned" family members trying to get me to be religious again. That's the main thing I totally hate about religion, the total intolerance of anyone not believing exactly the same thing that the religious do, and constant proselytizing.
