Example: Math might come easily for you, whereas it might be hard for me.
That doesn't make it -- religious conversation -- inherently complicated. A coloring book is complicated to the mentally infirm. At any rate, I suck at math.

Complicated as in buried under a mountain of doublespeak specifically designed to obscure and obstruct any honest inquiry, refined over thousands of years, and then routinely re-branded and sold to new target demographic as authentic and authoritative..........
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Haha, "refined" in this case meaning, went from blatantly obvious to . . . blatantly obvious.

Yep.
This is where the old saying fits, "can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bull shit".
They come up with all these convoluted 'arguments for the existence of God', in order wow the low information audience. We've all heard them all: TAG, Kalam, Ontological...whatever...
Not only are they all a bunch of philosophical tap dancing in an attempt to hide the lack of evidence for the existence of a god, none of them are logically valid. They are designed to make the believer feel their belief is rationally based.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Good point. Sometimes complicatedness is used as a cover, other times it's just used to explain something complicated.
Now, how to tell the difference

I might be able to agree with this with more conviction if I became more familiar with the arguments they use in support of the existence of God. (such as ontological)
As you can see, I am reluctant to draw any hard conclusions until I take a critical look at the other side and get to know my side better.
However, I will say, that from my perspective as it stands now, Atheism seems more rational and logical to me than the existence of God.

Sophia, that's really easy. When someone is explaining something complicated without bullshitting you the explanation gets simpler the farther towards the bottom you go. The reverse is true with the opposite.
Here are the arguments, enjoy.
