Mehmet. Really.
There's a guy I'm talking to right now that I'm DYING to hop in bed with, and even though I adore him and very much can't wait and he's a wonderful person and all that jazz, there are nights when I don't consider it because I have a migraine (ever had one of those?) or my asthma is making me suffer, or I have so much schoolwork that if he were there I would have to politely decline. And this is someone who never fails to get me hot and bothered, mind. I still have the right to refuse on any reason I like - and I don't have to give that reason. It isn't his right to demand anything from me.
That said, getting married to someone doesn't magically make you both entirely in accord with whoever you marry. Maybe you've got this very narrow definition of rape. Any time a woman (or man) says "No" and the other partner continues regardless, it is rape. End of story. The partner may have never been malicious or in any way harmful before. It could be as simple as an utter disregard for their partner's wishes. So yes - it could be that suddenly.

You really shouldn't project yourself onto other people, my love. I could have been talking about Stat. I think he'd like a good roughing up.

I think the point he is trying to make is any decent guy would understand if you have a migraine, or are not feeling it for any reason, and will accept that fact and go bust one into the toilet instead. (Been there)
If he is a good guy, there will be no spousal rape. You just don't become a rapist after x years of marriage, IMO. No means no. Alcohol I can see being a huge factor in spousal rape though. But alcohol is another whole beast of fucky.
Yes there is spousal rape. There is domestic abuse.
Solution = Don't marry a douche bag, know who u are dating, any signs that they are a creeper, bail.

Rape is defined as putting any object into a bodily orifice withouth the "owner's" consent. So what if someone gives you surprise buttsex, or is otherwise abusive and decides that it's a fun idea to fuck you with a broom? Just because you (occasionally) want to have sex with your spouse, it doesn't (necessarily) include these two examples.

It just doesn't make sense.
Why does ANY man feel the need to rape a woman?
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Why does ANY man feel the need to rape a woman? Well, that is a completely different phenomena.
As you probably know, the issue of "consent" nearly entirely revolves around women. Meaning, women are able to have sex whenever they want to, however, men must always seek the consent of the female to do so.
This is also true in nature. So whenever a man decides that he is being left out, and has no money to pay a prostitute, some become more desperate and resort to this. Some may have fetishes involving this and may simply indulge in it for a specific pleasure.

Mehmet, you've never been married, have you? If you've been married long at all, you'll know there are plenty of times when you're in the mood but your spouse isn't.

Sorry, my dear, but I'm married.

Not at all. A rape is always a rape, no matter how it's done. My examples might have been a bit extreme, but according to the definition, even a husband can commit the crime of rape, if he takes his wife by force. Now, I know that there are old fashioned women out there, who concider marital sex to be a duty, and that's their business. They are more than welcome to spread their legs every time their husbands demand it, but modern women know that they have the right to say no and modern men know to respect that.

That is not always the case. I would really like to get a lot mor sex than I do in my relationship, but that doesn't mean that I constantly beg my boyfriend or grope him all the time or threaten to find sex partners elsewhere, because I respect him. So no, it's not always about the woman not wanting to, somtimes it's the other way around.
And on another note, I find it amusing that women are often depicted as the weak gender, but oh how hard it is for some men to keep their cock in their pants when they get horny. Who's the weak minded, one can wonder?
