RE: Movies
I figure I'll throw in my two cents. . .

In my personal opinion, I did not really like Twilight. The story is fairly interesting, but the movie was not really done well at all; all things considered, it was kind of boring.

Dark Night was awesome!

You all should see The Watchmen. . .now there's a great new movie! It had a great storyline, fantastic characters, deep symbolism, nice special effects, and I loved the ending! Moreover, Dr. Manhattan is quite possibly the coolest character ever to hit the movie screen. Worship

RE: Movies
I just watched Twilight the other night - better than expected! Though the soundtrack was fairly disappointing, I enjoyed the way it told the story.

Dark Night was great, especially the Jokers character.

I haven't heard anything good about the Watchmen.

That's because people like me who read the comic (or illistrated novell as they like to call it) don't like the way it is set to the screen. But if you never read the book, Watchmen would probably be a good movie to see.

Would you say that the book is better?

#1 rule of movies (at least most of them) - The book is always better.

Generally I agree although I would modify it slightly to say the the source is nearly always better by which I mean if it was a movie first (like Star Wars) that's usually the best version.

I'm reading the Harry Potter books at the moment (halfway through book 4) and although nothing can quite approach that moment of being "blown away" I felt when I saw the very first one on TV (didn't even see it at the cinema) they are much better than the films.
