Hell - Where is the idea of justice?

It's part of the sickness, Rev. And G-C has a terminal case.

What the shit? How boring. I want variety.
This is definitely my favorite:

Non-menstruating / non-urinating/ non-defecating and childfree
That will never hold up in court...

You say there is no evidence to expose me to, and that new information would not affect your position. You have just eliminated yourself from any discussions about God's existence, because there's nothing that could make you lose your faith. Unfalsifiable position, what's the point in debating with you? You've actually told us flat out that it will never happen, making it pointless to discuss anything with you.

To add to this, you're still dodging my challenge any way you can (It would be betraying God/I don't have a favourite colour). Choose to have a favourite colour, this is exactly my point. You say you don't have one, so use the control over your beliefs that you have to give yourself a favourite colour, just to prove your point. Can't see why you wouldn't take that opportunity.

You would see God at work and you would not be able to use science to disprove it, I know I've been walking this path for a long time and seen God at work far more than you would believe, as a matter of fact if you had you might be a believer now. I say might because you want absolute facts, that's a choice you make without any new evidence.

Finally, you don't understand my point at all. Or are deliberately avoiding it (my suspicion). Look at what you said above: You say I might be a believer if I saw God at work. Yes, you're right, that's possible! And if I saw that, it would be....NEW INFORMATION INFORMING MY BELIEF. If I followed you for a couple of years, I might see things you do, and that would be NEW INFORMATION INFORMING MY BELIEF. How can you not understand this?

I have been exposed to plenty of arguments, anecdotal evidence, personal experience stories, and on and on and on ad infinitum, and they are unconvincing. On the basis of the evidence I have been exposed to, I do not believe. So, one more time, you stupid prick: HOW CAN I CHOOSE TO CHANGE MY BELIEF AT THIS POINT? HOW COULD I CHOOSE TO CHANGE MY BELIEF WITHOUT FURTHER INFORMATION BECOMING AVAILABLE TO ME?

I realise you're going to come back with some new acrobatics to get out of accepting that you're wrong, because you are a delusional idiot, but I'm happy to expose you fully here. You haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

You are as dense as they come, I made choices with no new information, I chose not to participate in your delusions, I chose not to play your game and needed no new information to do so. Why should I let you set up this little game and participate in it by your stupid rules. Since you think I'm not good at arguing my points then why don't you bail out of them.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

An atheist having delusions? Coming from a theist? LOL
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Good question, you stupid cunt.

Luckily, everyone else can see what a thick bastard you are, so I don't really need to continue. You cannot choose to believe something that is the opposite of the thing you currently believe, on the basis of the same evidence that led to the original belief. If you can't get your tiny brain around that, then you are the one who is dense. I'm confident that anyone reading this conversation understands basic concepts like this (except you, but your mind is addled by Jesus cancer).

So, to be clear, you couldn't follow that thought experiment to the end?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

NAC Wrote:That's fine but it's all a bit vague for me. If you want to live the life that god desires for you to live, then he is telling you what to want. Shouldn't that be your choice?

I have the choice to do what God wants or not, though the latter may come with consequences. I see that God knows what's best in my life and I need to pay attention to what He says.

NAC Wrote:I do not want anything other than to be happy. Lots of things make me happy - helping others, drinking beer, eating cakes, going out, achieving life goals, buying new stuff, bringing my family up to be decent people, watching sport etc I couldn't fit reading scripture, attending church, preaching to that because not only I wouldn't want to, but because I wouldn't have the time and would miss out on other fulfilling stuff.

You must miss out on some good stuff, because you're banking on getting it back with interest in heaven.

It's funny you would mention "with interest," because that is what Jesus teaches and I happen to be reading about that last night. Giving up stuff here will result in greater treasures in heaven.

I like you, want to be happy, and by serving God I find happiness. I tried living life my way and found to many troubles in my way, then I tried it God's way and have found many joys that would not have come my way if I had continued on my path. I to like many of the things you mentioned above, even to drink a beer on occasion, I love college football "GO Big Orange," I like to fish and hunt, I do really like woodworking, so you see God doesn't deny us things that makes us feel good and fulfilled. However I find joy in serving God in loving and helping family and friends, in worshiping Him and reading and studying His scriptures. There is so much more, if you have questions just post or PM.

NAC Wrote:I wonder what a typical day in heaven is like? A bit of worship, bit of backslapping and a lounge around. No sin, no bad stuff, no challenges. Don't get me wrong, sounds great apart from the worship bit, but for ever? Wouldn't you be sick after a trillion years?

I do not believe there will be a typical day in heaven, I do know we will worship and praise God often and I know we will have responsibilities. I think that one could be given the responsibility of caring for a galaxy, how awesome would that be. I can imagine having a vacation home on some secluded planet where I can bang away on a guitar and sing out of tune and enjoy a time of being by myself... well except God would be with me. So to get tired of heaven after a trillion years, I can't see that happening there will be an entire universe to explore and care for and who knows what other great things God will have for us.
