Philosophy/Logic/Reason basics

Philosophy/Logic/Reason basics
I, for one would like to see a sticky where some of our more informed moderators and members write about basic logic and reason and how to use them and how not to make philosophical fallacies non sequitar's, arguementum ad populum etc and all other shit related to debate. I'm sure many others would appreciate this and it would likely contribute to a larger amount of people gettin involved in debates.

Thanks

RE: Philosophy/Logic/Reason basics
I like this idea. I think it would be better to ask people to start threads for each one, so that people can discuss each one separately. We'll then have a single thread which links to each of the threads that people post.

RE: Philosophy/Logic/Reason basics
Wikipedia has good articles on logical fallacies. Can/should we start threads with the preface of the article quoted (with links provided to the original article) as a starter for discussion? I wouldn't mind getting involved with this, but it seems like re-inventing the wheel is an inefficient effort.
