Why Atheism/Secular Humanism... Part II

RE: Why Atheism/Secular Humanism... Part II
Ok, I know you hate Secular Humanism which is why your blaming it for things it's got nothing to do with. Like overpopulation, that's got fuck all to do with it. It's a global problem, it's an environmental problem, not a religious or secular one. And this half man and machine business also has fuck all to do with it.
And I've had enough of this "your immoral" shit! If your ready to call me or others immoral, you best be ready to demonstrate how. What have I done? What crime have I committed? I'm apparently immoral to you, so you must obviously know me and the things I've done in my life. So, lets hear it.

Also the whole selfishness of not having kids? How is it selfish? If I had kids in my current situation, I'd have trouble feeding them, clothing them and giving them a good happy go in life. You know why? I CAN'T AFFORD THEM! I am doing what's best. Also I don't want kids. So why create any? Wouldn't be very fair on them now would it. Also you speak of over population and then wonder why we aren't reproducing? Go back to school.

Bloody hell.Confused Fall
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

You're talking to a person who probably willingly eats matzos and gefilte fish, Ace. Constipation can do a lot for one's disposition.

Seriously, someone's been watching the Matrix far too much, and has a half-assed conceptualization of the topics he/she's discussing.

Guess we'll have to wait for his coffee break tomorrow for the next bit of garbage. Hey buddy, how about you mix it up and try to sling a different color shit next time? If you're just going to keep harping on in these joke-threads about the same thing every morning, it's gonna get tedious quick.

'Religious people are much more giving with their time and money to both family and strangers because religion teaches self sacrifice.'

So why is America's religious right such a greedy bunch?

'Why don't people want to have kids? Pure selfishness, which brings me to my next point. '

Dont you mean - Why DO people want to have kids? Pure selfishness.

'Before we go down the road of speculation, lets look at the present day. Europe to me is a very sad case of what happens when a people lose God. Europe's (and Japan's) biggest problem right now is stablizing and decreasing populations. '

The most irreligious places in Europe happen to have the highest living standards in the world, also given that France, Germany, Spain and Italy are a major part of Europe, they are religious countries, mostly Catholics, you might try understanding mathmatics of age and sexual reproduction and economics before you spout shit about us not having kids.

The crazies are fun to laugh at until you realize they're capable of breeding, Heather.

Regarding that bit about self sacrifice. Religion, more often than not, teaches about sacrifice alright. Not one's self, but animals, others, etc. Any religion that told you to slit your own throat on the altar wouldn't last through too many generations of devout followers. God's are constantly demanding the blood of people and creatures other than their own adherents. Convenient for the adherents.

Oh I do laugh at them, regularly. What makes them so funny is not just because they're so stupid but also because they really believe the horse shit that comes out of their mouths. They're so uneducated. And everyone's fucking wrong and immoral except...themselves.

Loved the bit about the whole "immoral secular society" thing, Sweden's doing well. Better than most other countries by far actually. Show's how much he knows.
