Getting flak about being a non-believer? Go the route of good ole Ernie Chambers, who-
"filed a suit in 2008 against God, seeking a permanent injunction against God's harmful activities"

Unfortunately, his case was dismissed-
"because God could not be properly notified, not having an address."

Chambers responded with-
"the court itself acknowledges the existence of God. A consequence of that acknowledgment is a recognition of God's omniscience. Since God knows everything, God has notice of this lawsuit."

The final ruling?
"[a] court decides real controversies and determines rights actually controverted, and does not address or dispose of abstract questions or issues that might arise in hypothetical or fictitious situation or setting".

I'm not sure whether god won or lost this case, honestly.

He should have filed the lawsuit against the Pope. Because according to most catholics, they believe the pope is god on earth. Therefor making him responsible. Sadly the only lawsuits we see coming from the Vatican is child molestation cases. Never the less he should have won.

I should remember that the next time an insurance agency denies coverage due to 'an act of god.'
The next logical step would be to sue god for damages.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
