He's ignoring everyone win a valid point.  Don't take it personally.  [emoji41]

He's replied to some of my posts, and I think I had some valid points in them. Cool

I do believe everybody is free to think and believe what they want to, but I know that you have done a great unjustice towards christianity, by asserting into it wrong theology, wrong concepts and wrong exegesis, basically creating a new christianity, molded to your criteria which you can deliberately attack because it fits the atheism you have. Undoubtedly the atheism you have is a denial of the "god" of that christianity that is denaturated and wholly new. What can I say, I do recommend to the people of this forum to read Patristics and to leave aside the bunch of prejudices you have. Christianity is not Bible alone, is not creationism, is not "Accept Jesus in your heart and you will get saved", these are missconceptions. These are modern creations and they are the fountain of atheism because of their absurdity. The real christianity stands silent in the history of the first centuries, in the writings of the Fathers, in hesychasm, in asceticism, in the Scriptures guided by Sacred Tradition and so on... I will always teach anybody that wants to learn about this (anyone that is interested can PM me) but I cannot convince you, you must convince yourselves if you want to and all that is recquired is will. This I have said to you in case you want to learn more. And the debates I have created rapidly degenerated, with only two or three persons that answered honestly and the rest just doing mockery and so on, I have to tell you that it is not pleasant and that you should not do that anymore, in my opinion, but again, it is up to you.

May God bless you all, through the intercession of the Most Blessed Theotokos and of all the saint's.
There are literally more than 40,000 versions of Christianity, Wry. We are not the ones who did that. There are plenty of Christian Forums to go to if you want to address the misconceptions of other Christians and inform them of your real Christianity.

I don't disagree that rise of fundamentalism has a lot to do with the rise of atheism. However, based on your contributions here, it sounds like when you get into the pulpit, you'll do your fair share of the same, no fundamentalism required, just colossal ego.

A used vacuum cleaner sales man would love your pitch, if it worked anywhere outside religion: Just will yourself to believe my vacuum cleaner is superior and you will buy it. You must convince yourself, I can't do it for you.

It probably was unpleasant, but I doubt you have the humility to ever change your approach to preaching at strangers (or lying to them about intending to preach at them). But maybe when you're older. This thread will still be archived here in five years. I challenge you to re-read your posts then and see if you still think the mockery you received was completely unearned.

May the Flying Spaghetti Monster lay his noodly appendage upon your shoulders, but not in a creep way.

Well from what I gather OP is not so much interested in process how Earth started but rather why cling to any explanation. Why choose scientific explanation rather then some religious and that is again question that could be rephrased as "What is reality?" which is again the question that has been the core of the something like every other topic started by religious people on the forum.
And like I said before to those people, read "Magic of reality" by R. Dawkins.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I will play the person you believe I am, a "dumb redneck christian" and I will ask you things so you can answer them to me with evidence, of course. First question:

If God did not create the earth, how is it that we have an earth here and we live in it? Also, I beg, provide evidence for your claims.

Atheism it's the rejection of the supernatural claim that god(s) exist that's all there is to it.
There is no actual belief there is nothing only just the sweet sweet mockery of your beliefs called Satanism
and Pasatafarianism and others that just poke fun of the abrahamic beliefs. If that is not hard to get i don't know what
is. We lack the faith and lack belief that is all there is to it. The universe came about in natural means so did the earth
there is enough resources out there to look it up and find it out. To put it like so there was no boom everything exists
it too billions of years for the universe to get to the current state it is in today.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization join today.

You are correct, as usual, sir. [emoji41] I am flip flopping here between thinking wry is a legitimate troll, or just a Christian who is feeling insecure about his beliefs. I'm sensing an underlying current of desperation from him in the threads he's started so far. It just blows my mind when they come here willingly to us, and proceed to be shocked and offended when people politely (or not so politely) say, "no, I'm actually not that interested in hearing more about Jesus."

I think he said he's 18. That probably means he's just starting out in seminary. I think some patience should be extended. A little.

I don't think he's been exposed to how the sausage is made, yet. Ex-seminary student is a common origin story for atheists.

He's already responded to a lot of posts, so I don't think that is a fair inference. He almost certainly has a life.

I do not think it is a fair inference to infer from Losty asking a question that she made an unfair inference. She asked a question. She did not infer.

Since you won't take any of the serious answers you've received, with any sort of respect and you obviously think you are entitled to tell us what we think, I've corrected your post for you. Feel special, because I don't do this for just anyone.

People have given you answers. You've refused to listen. You've ignored anyone who's made a valid point. Atheism doesn't have a "type" and we don't mold Christianity into anything. If anything, it's revealed itself to those with intelligence, to have a god who is narcissistic, cruel, jealous, misogynist, arrogant, thoughtless and terroristic, just to name a few. Go read your damn bible. It's all in there. You and others like you refuse to see him for what he is.

When you don't have an answer for something, rather than just admit that you don't know, you use your pathetic god as an all-purpose answer. Shit, you religious people can't even be honest enough with yourselves to admit that you just don't have all the answers. God is not the "be all" or the "end all" solution to everything. Shame that you've been so brainwashed that you can't even see what's right in front of you. Furthermore, atheism isn't a denial of Christianity or any other religion. It isn't a denial at all. For fuck sake, I really wish there was some sort of requirement for theists who come here to spew their bullshit. They should be required to answer questions about what atheism is and if they fail, they don't get a pass to come in here. Atheism is, simply enough, lack of a belief in ANY god. For us, no proof = no god. It really is that simple.

The fact that you thought you could come in here and make the majority of the members here feel bad because we refuse to follow your POS god, is laughable. The theists that came before you, tried that trick. It didn't work with them and it won't work with you. Get a clue. Go preach your shit elsewhere.
