Theists: Can god read my mind?
#21
RE: Theists: Can god read my mind?
He doesn't care about the number? Well, if it could provide a sliver of evidence that he's not imaginary, why wouldn't he care about it?

How do you know he doesn't care about it? Did he tell you that specifically?

We keep hearing of a god that can do anything. Yet here we are, he can't even do this tiny, eensy weensy thing. Or he simply refuses to, and continues to hide from us on purpose. Whenever religion enters the realm of reality, something that can be tested, god immediately withdraws from the spotlight.

If he can read my mind, he indeed would be very embarrassed at the other kind of things I think about. What a sick little monkey!

Tonus: I'm surprised theists haven't already jumped all over that. Hopefully they know me well enough by now to know I can be trusted to shoot straight.

Because He has given much, as God said, one who looks around himself and doesn't see a creator will be without excuse, that's a bit more than slight.

I'm not sure why you keep asking me the same type of question, by now you ought to know you're going to get the same type answer.
Answer: Through the whole of the scriptures, this is the answer to both questions.

You want to test God and He says He want be tested. You and most the other atheist here want absolute proof of God and you believe it only fair He prove His existence to you as you want. I say how fair are you being with the ones who come to Christ through faith, which is what God asked us to do.
God is described as the unseen God not the hiding God, it is what He desires. God has never withdrew from anything and want be tested and this place is temporary, it is the new creation that will be eternally real.

You couldn't embarrass God, don't make yourself look so big.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Amazingly enough, I can't read Robo's mind and I can come up with a similar answer.

Why does your god act in the same way he would act if he didn't exist?

I am surprised that someone hasn't come up with the excuse that you can't test god.

We all know the number is actually 42 despite your claim that it's a four digit number.

If there was a god and he could read my mind he'd be really pissed about it.

God won't be tested?

According to his own book, he doesn't mind being tested at all. Do I need to get the verses? Of course, the bible also says he won't be tested, as well as saying he can be tested. This is normal for the bible. It offers every contradictory point of view so you can pick whatever is convenient at the time.

Here we are again, once we step outside of unfalsifiability and into the realm of reality, God shrivels up like my nob in winter. Nowhere to be found.

God doesn't care if I believe he exists or not, I think that's the take-away here. He won't even spare one second to ping over 4 digits. Yet he'll hang around pieces of toast and scribble pictures of his son in them.

God just spoke to me too.
He told me that he is a figment of my imagination.
He said that in order to be in my mind, that sacrifices have to be made to fit him in.
He said the easiest and most popular was to override the critical thinking section of the mind.
He said they are not very compatible together anyway.
No God, No fear.
