If I hacked the limbs off "non-innocents" I don't think I'd get any sympathy on that count. If I did, justice would demand that said sympathy be ignored. Excusing a breach of privacy because those affected belong to a group that we might attach a negative moral value judgement to says nothing even remotely generous about us. Bunch'a fuckin busybodies, if you ask me.

The thing to bear in mind here, is there is no privacy on the internet, nor any inalienable right to it. Assume you have the right to it all you want, but the people signing up to this website put their 'privacy' in the hands of Ashley Madison. Fucking LOL that they got hacked.
By no means do I condone hacks like this. That's not what I'm saying, but the argument for 'rights and privacy' isn't really a good one when the people who you are saying have such a right, signed over their privacy to a company that promotes affairs and cheaters. Boo fucking hoo if you ask me. The people who sign up to it are scum. The people who run it are scum. And the people who hacked it are scum.
There's no protection that needs to be offered. People are talking about this like people's rights have been violated. Such people need to stop being so god damn naive if you ask me.

Who other people cheated on is none of my business, but I'm not ok with this kind of lying. I think this is a direct result of stupid Christian morals about sex. People find their urge to have sex shamefull, and so they lie about it. The truth is the LIE is the harmful thing. It hurts everyone including the liar.
It was an invasion of privacy and not even a private detective, it was carpet bombing.

The hell there is no privacy on the internet. How many members of this website use their real names? Some may, but of those who do, would it be OK for a theist to hack this website an publicly publish your personal info because they find not believing immoral?

I must say I don't condone this hacking of other people's info, but I'm just not getting the innocent people argument. Some douchebag cheaters/liars/lawbreakers got hacked by some other douchebag lawbreakers.
The only innocent people who might be hurt are all the SO's who are about to find out their partner is a fucking cheater.....and that isn't that hackers fault really, now is it?
Still, I think it is wrong to release the information, but NOT because the people are "innocent", but because 2 wrongs do not make a right. And it does open the door to basically condoning bad things happening to people who do things we don't agree with, and that isn't how I want the world to work.
