Inside Out by Disney. Or Pixar. Or both. It was a nice movie, though it basically dealt with a girl going through depression.

Pixar make films that can be appreciated at any age. The toy story movies were fantastic. But lets not mention cars and cars 2.

Cars and Cars 2 (especially 2) are no Toy story. The first one was watchable, especially since it had Larry the Cable Guy in it, but the second was a bit weird. The plot about secret agent cars was pitiful.

Good video to watch, if you want to know how common the Jesus story really is.

You mentioned them after I specifically asked you not to!

If you didn't want them discussed, you shouldn't have mentioned them.

I may or may not shed tears every single time I watch Monsters Inc. Smile. The end of that movie so sweet.... "Kitty!"

I'd recommend not seeing it yet. It has a good ending but the story can be kinda heavy if you're not in a good place to see that sort of thing... It is a good movie tho.

Larry the Cable Guy is largely the reason I won't watch Cars. I find him and that stupid truck he plays to be irritating as all get out. Yeesh.

With 3 sons... cars, cars 2, mater's tall tales, cars toys and whatnot are ever present...
They're aimed at kids and merchandising, so they did their job well.

The other pixar movies are better.
I love Brave and the soundtrack is just magical! But the kids never want to see it.
Wall-E was also great, but they've watched far too many times and got fed up... or are growing out of it.
The incredibles... oh boy... a whole family of supers! And you don't need to get to the end to shed some man-tears! Actually, the ending is awesome and there's an extra short called "Jack Jack Attack" which depicts what happened with that baby while the parents were away - remember the conversation mom had from the plane with the babysitter and all the voice messages she had upon returning? Big Grin
And then there's Finding Nemo, so full of details to marvel at.

That's kind of funny. I think Mater is one of the best parts of the movie, and you think he's one of the worst. I liked Larry's standup acts, for the most part. I don't know if he'd doing much now, aside from those Prilotec OCT commercials.

Kind of walked in the middle of a conversation here, but if you are talking about awesome kids movies, I recommend Song of the Sea, Ponyo, and Secret of the Kells.

Yes, the last deals with the Book of the Kells, but it also has a lot of crossover pagan/druid/ancient. I like that it deals with a little boy who means to be a monk meeting and befriending a fae creature who helps him save the Book of the Kells. It's a beautiful story, and beautifully animated.

Song of the Sea is made by the same animation studio and has the most lovely sound track.

Ponyo's got some of the most gorgeously animated scenes I've ever seen!

I'll just leave this here:

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
