Congratulations:

Me and my better half have been married for just coming up on 21 years now.   It was my second marriage and I wanted a short civil marriage followed by dinner with our two immediate families and perhaps a couple friends.  But he wanted the whole deal, so we did the church (two atheists and a pastor who was bemused we wanted him) and the big reception.  But we tried to make the reception as much like a family reunion as possible.  We rented a historic home with a sprawling garden and had a little outdoor party with a Mesopotamian buffet.  Very informal, and not very expensive, but the food was good. Smile  

The home was across from the historic state penn, so we have a few photos of his leg with tux, and ball and chain.

After that we spent a week in Florence and Rome.

I can't imagine life without him. Smile

I got married rather late (32) and have no plans to alter the current state of affairs. We got spur-of-the-moment married after living together for about 4 years ('What's on today, hon?' 'Dunno. We could get married.' 'That's alright, then.') The ceremony took place at a registry office in West Belfast, and when our friends found out, they threw us a reception that lasted four days, avec mucho alcohol.
