Test my belief system

Sure, I see. I understand where you're coming from. I wouldn't call those things trying to cause harm for no reason, such as punching me in the arm because you feel like it. They are responses to situations which will differ greatly from person to person. I don't think your responses are bad, just more geared towards yourself. That's a sliding scale that we all have, and there's no right answer.

I'm not sure I'd agree that you're actually offering people a life by doing them Smile You're giving them a kind of experience, sure.

I just want to throw something in here, if I may:

There are times I am not in the best mood and not feeling overly charitable.

But as I see it, we have a choice, every minute of every day, to do good, do bad, or do nothing.

Sometimes being sure of what is the "good" thing to do is not clear;

....so, when the "good" thing to do, IS  clear....I do it, if I can.

There is so much we don't have any control, over.

May as well control what we can to make the world a bit brighter, when possible.

That's a lovely way to put it, I agree Smile

Indeed, doing what is good sometimes seems fairly obvious, but is ultimately a very complex subject. In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves what is and isn't good. Most people will probably change their mind about it too over time.

Isn't experience what life consists of?
Life is like a passing, almost infinite train, and each waggon is an experience. (I love metaphores)

And I'll make sure to punch you when I would ever meet you  Smile
