Biblical Morality

RE: Biblical Morality
Yup.0%

Near got me with that trick question about the lobster dinner. Fortunately I love prawns. (shrimp)

Good test to give a fundies. A score of less than 100%i proves he/she cherrypicks the bits of the bible he/she takes literally.

(OK perhaps few fundies would understand the kosher question about shellfish)

You are trying to undermine/ bully me! The question is of no relevance there, and just a snide snipe here. Rail it in a bit. Devil

Yes because you're a mind-reader aren't you? So you're bare assertion of what I'm trying to must mean you really DO know exactly what I am trying to do. You can read my mind.

No, you're wrong. I'm not undermining you, I'm responding to you and then you are making bare assertions. Lacking complete substance once again - which is all I was saying in my response to what you said, I wasn't undermining you. I was pointing out the bare assertions - which you responded with another bare assertion, that I was 'undermining' you.

So what are you going to do next? Are you going to make another bare assertion or are you going to make a response with some actual substance in it? Or shall we just leave it now?

I was referring to "literalists". These are people who claim the Bible is the literal word of god. That means the bible means exactly what it says.To ignore the unpleasant or hard bits is cherry picking, which destroys the argument of literalism.

To introduce the question of intelligence behind the choices of what to ignore is irrelevant,a strawman fallacy.

You don't 'ignore' it, you see it for what it is, and that isn't what it looks like taken out of context. Intelligently you would look at the subject as a whole and not cherry pick tiny segments and examine them independently. that would leave you open to error.

That statement is either a deliberate lie or simply the result of purblind ,willful ignorance. In any case I can't be bothered with you.I don't suffer fools in real life, and far less on net forums.Devil

So apply it to another subject and prove it wrong. Or is your dismissal groundless??
