You do realize that the versions you referenced are full or errors right? The NLT is full of mistranslations and missing whole scriptures....
The NAB is the Catholic bible and adds whole Books not found in the KJV.

In your mind he didn't have good reasons, that's but from your limited perspective. The christian god is "all-knowing" and makes decisions from that perspective. You must also understand his complete plan for all humans, which includes eternal life without suffering. Also, most of us suffer as much or more than his "victims" in the old testament, which comes as a result of our our sinfulness, and is also tolerated by God.
