Dotard, perhaps it's because some of us see another human as a little more than a slot B, but who knows, chauvinism is rampant nowadays.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

...damn chauninism!
I'm glad my GF doesn't view me as a tab A. I'm also glad that I'm not so callous to view women as just slot B, but whatever protects the ego I guess. Better to declare sour grapes than admit the grapes were out of your grasp.
For me finding love was about increasing the beat rate with which I met women. I did that by taking Swing dance lessons where the ratios of women to men are more in my favor. Also, girls only want boyfriends with great skils, you know, like nunchuku skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills... the best I could ever manage was a decent Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Charleston.
Oh, yeah, I found some truely sour grapes on them trees, but I wouldn't want to judge all women by my small sampling.

laughing at your reference, btw, but also noted: when I first saw you mention swing dancing, it sure as hell caught MY attention, for what it's worth.

Thanks TSQ,
From some of your quotes you seem to value old timey stuffs , so that doesn't surprise me too much. I've been a dancer for about 8 years, and I miss going out like I used to, but having a GF with chi-dren makes it hard to leave the roost as often as I would like, and she lives 1.5 hours away.

I'm seeing a man who adores the rat pack style music as much as I do and likes to dance (I have two left feet, unfortunately) and LOVES vintage style dresses I wish I could dance with him like he deserves, but he puts up with me anyway.

Take lessons and hit some workshops, anyone can get better at dancing, left feetism is an urban myth, I checked snopes . What city do you live near?
Here are a couple local (Portland) bands you might like:

...and some Django because, um, he is awesome:

I've also always wanted to spring this on a venue, but doubt it would be well received by the Christian dancers:

I just got a chance to check them out - good stuff! I live in Charlotte, and could find something if I was so motivated. We'll see how the school schedule goes for this semester. The cool thing about Charlotte is that from spring to fall on any given night there's bound to be some random band somewhere playing on a street corner - usually several - and a lot of them get jazzy. It's fantastic.
If any of you want to visit my city on a sultry summer evening when the buildings are all lit up and the fountains are bubbling, and everyone's out enjoying music and food and booze...let me know. Even the cops are pretty friendly.
