Perhaps Rob is a bit of a bully, but it is initially in response to outright bigoted thoughts posted in a public forum. His continued mockery in response to the unbearably foul language (I notice Rob never resorts to any, only the bigot), poor spelling, grammar, and pure idiocy do, perhaps, cross a line as it begins to feel like an adult teasing a particularly dense 3 year old. However, that person is not a 3 year old, and their thoughts on homosexuality and Islam deserved mocking.
Mocking does not equal bullying. And i would also note only one other commenter stood up for the bigot...another bigot. The others either joined in slightly, or were just part of the flow of conversation. Also, note the number of likes Robs comments get. I think others agree that the bigot needed a little shaming.

I give that post 5 out of 7. So full marks.

Oh jeebus. I can just see it now, lol. This is going to become the inside joke of the forum. A year from now, one of us will give a 5/7 rating to a post and only those who have participated or read this thread will truly "get it". Ha ha. Others will be like "wait. what?"

We might be spending a little too much time analyzing something that might not even be real lol, but it's an interesting discussion to have I think.
The first 2 frames (the first being his comment about gay marriage and the second being his comment about Muslim folks), I agree deserved the harsh remarks from Rob. He also made one other nasty comment about refugees and gays.
...Apart from that, however, it seems to get into bullying territory when Rob starts making fun of literally everything the guy says - Movies, his misspelling, his comment about liking rain, his opinion on weed, his comment about 17 being a great age, bungee jumping, etc. It just seems like harassment at that point.
Obviously the dude is not very smart. Judging from how he's talking and from the other women defending him a little bit, I got the sense that he probably has some sort of mental illness or perhaps he's slow.
So yeah, when it extended beyond Rob's critique of Brandan's 2 comments about gays and 2 comments about Muslim, the rest I thought was crossing the line between deserved criticism and bullying.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Like I already said, Rob mentions that he is behaving this way because Brendan annoys other people on their profile pages. I'm guessing he means something similar to Brendans comment about Muslims on the girl's status. This leads me to believe he deserves the treatment, though the 5/7 joke was overused imo and it got a bit tired.

No, he said their "feeds" not their profile pages. Probably hard to understand if you don't have facebook, but basically when someone posts something on their own profile, it also shows up on all your facebook friend's home page. This is what we refer to as a "feed."
So if Rob was that bothered by Brandan's statuses/etc showing up on his home page he could have just blocked them. You can do that on facebook. You can block someone's activity from showing up on your home page. Or you can simply delete them as a friend and be done with it.
Like I said, the backlash he got from his comments on gays and Muslims were fair game. The rest just seemed unwarranted and bullyish, in my opinion. Especially if he really is slow or mentally disordered which I suspect.

Oh ok, I misunderstood that then. In that case the mockery outside of Brendan's asshole comments is a bit overboard imo. Dude was probably fed up with him on the whole.
