Atheism uses a shared a methodology all of you have in common that leads to a shared singular belief about God, even if their isn't any formal organization to it. that you can not deny (Unless you simply don't understand how what i saidvdescribes and identifies all of you 'snowflakes.')

As a former Hindu, I can only say that this is simply wrong. I lack a belief in the existence of 'god', of 'gods', and I'm also mute on the subject of 'God'. I did not arrive at the same position as a former Christian might have by a "shared methodology".

Drich and other Christian "snowflakes" think everything is in reference to their myths.

For me, they often (but not always) function as synonyms.

I never said the movie did not provide alternitive dates, nor did i say it offered evidence to dispute those dates. I simply offered the information that the movie presents as the best canidate for the exodus.

Not to meantion I did indeed say that the dating of the exodus was only one aspect of this movie and that the movie provided much much more evidence than just the date.

So again how am I wrong? or is this just another vain attempt to dismiss the message by discrediting the messenger?

Do you have proof that the jews were ever slaves in Egypt?

Do you have proof of moses splitting the red sea?

Do you have proof that Ramses II was alive during the account?

Can you answer any of those questions with historical evidence?

So, you didn't watch the movie?

Then why comment on something you are ignorant about?

So out of a complete vacuum you just stop believing in the hindu god or and God.

If this is the case then you are correct. You are a unique snowflake the world has never seen the likes of and shall never see again.

However if you used evidence based reasoning to come to a conclusion their isn't any god(s) then you are a conformist like your non hindu brethern.

He asks, IF the Exodus really occurred, then WHY did it have to occur during the reign of Rameses?

Well, it didn't HAVE to occur then. So, what Mahoney does is to look for the six key elements of the Exodus story to see whether they (in sequence) could be documented from any other point in history. If not, then NO Exodus.

However, Mahoney DOES find these six sequential elements in Egyptian history, and they occurred during the Middle Kingdom.

So, you are simply wrong in your assertion that Mahoney ignored the evidence. Instead, Mahoney re-evaluated the evidence that he did find and realized that it fit an earlier time period.

You can't just look for selective evidence that fits your beliefs and then dismiss all the evidence to the contrary. That's not how it works.

One question: Have you watched the film in its entirety?

Do you have a problem with evidence based reasoning?  You don't use it? I can tell you that I didn't reason my way into atheism, personally.
