Where the fuck did I say everyone who supports gun rights is a homophobe? What I fucking said was that people who support gun rights tend to be against gay marriage. You do know what "tend" means, right?
The G.O.P. is in shambles. It's embarrassing, really. I think it stems from the "liberal" direction this country is heading. A lot happened under Obama's administration. Same-sex marriage became legal in all fifty states (against the wishes of millions of conservatives), we now have a single-payer healthcare system in the Affordable Care Act (which is socialism bordering on communism according to millions of conservatives), and gun laws will be changing (and of course, federal background checks are actually just Obama's sneaky way of stealing everybody's guns, according to millions of conservatives.) On top of that, we have the ISIS crisis that conservatives think Obama is doing nothing about (despite the fact that he has launched more drone strikes in those regions than Bush ever did) and we're in an era of "political correctness." Now, I don't necessarily think that this "political correctness" is a positive thing...in fact, it's hurt the debate on radical Islam. But millions of conservatives hate "political correctness" because they just want to say racist things and get away with it.
From all of this comes people like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. They're both insane and I'd hate to have them in office. Yet they're the GOP's leading candidates. If (and when) a Democrat takes office in 2016, the Republicans will have to regroup and figure out what the hell they're doing. This whole extreme anti-liberal, anti-political correctness platform isn't just stupid, it's dangerously stupid. It reinforces racist views toward African-Americans and Arab-Americans. Hell, if I were a fundamentalist Muslim, Trump himself would make me want to join ISIS... Calm the fuck down sweetie. And yes I do know what tend means and even then I think what you're saying is stupid.
And I think you're fucking stupid if you think it's not true that pro-gun ammosexuals tend to be anti-gay marriage.
Some might be. They don't "tend" to be.
Lets put it this way. Both seem to be FAUX news talking points.
Far more than the democrats the republicunts tend to have a party line that one crosses at their own peril. Anyone who deviates from the party line is promptly declared a RINO (republicunt in name only). In this they are quite similar to communists and nazis.
Ideological purity is a euphemism for an inability to think for oneself.
Rand Paul goes full-birther on Cruz.

For all their huffing and puffing about how they are the Constitutional purists, conservative birthers don't seem to know jack shit about the document. I can think of 1,001 reasons not to vote for Cruz, but his citizenship is not one of them. |
