Also, thinking about whether I should continue to see this guy who chooses to spend his time working in a total warzone. I really like him: he's good at what he does, he's brave and sweet, smart and handsome, and I admire him at ridiculous levels, but he's a photojournalist spending months out of the year in MENA getting down-and-dirty in it. I'm afraid something bad will happen to him

You should keep seeing him. He sounds awesome.

Yes. I started out with a customized superflat world and have since made a village, a river, a few stables, trained 20 horses, killed mobs of skeletons, spiders, zombies and creepers, built a fully enclosed glass path from my house to the village and grew lots of trees.
