RE: EU: Should the UK Leave or Stay?

I was never insinuating anything. I mean what I say not what folks think I may be insinuating.
It's all very well if Napo says a bunch of stuff that is true, but finding something "downright insulting" and speaking of an "insinuation" is pointless if I made no insinuation (I know my own mind, he doesn't) and if all the true things he said are in disagreement with a complete misrepresentation of anything I actually said. I suggest he go argue with himself in a corner if he's going to quote me and argue against stuff I didn't say.

Fair enough, if that's actually what I was doing. When I say UKIP aren't as bad as the BNP but they're still awful that does not mean that I am lumping the two together, it means I think UKIP aren't as bad as the BNP but are still awful. Because that's what I actually said.

I think one of the things that amuses me the most UKIP is a few years ago they literally introduced themselves as "We are a non-racist party." LMFAO
Kinda makes me think "Why'd'ya feel the need to actually say that, hmm?".

Let's be clear here. No one is saying that wanting to leave the EU is racist. Many people think that UKIP as a party are racist.

Where UKIP at the moment are is on the ledge between the Tory right (all the geriatrics who sulpported Enoch Powell and his rivers of blood and the BNP. That very narrow ledge is where Nige positioned them, for the same reason Trump called Mexicans criminals and rapists. Maximum publicity.

What's wrong with Enoch Powell? One of the best politicians Britain has ever had. May he rest in peace. Nothing wrong with stating the dangers of mass immigration.
And before you try smear me as some kind of racist, there's nothing wrong with immigration as long as it is controlled. You can't expect a small Island nation to take in half the entire fucking world.

Agreed... this thread is about a referendum not an election; people can want to leave the EU for all sorts of reasons... my dad for instance wants to leave because as an accountant he hates VAT and he votes UKIP. My point about the moderating influence of the EU over right wing parties was not meant to be a slur against anyone who wants to leave, just my opinion on the effect the EU has and what I want to preserve.
But on a side note, after having read that link, I personally wouldn't risk voting for UKiP if I changed my mind on the leaving question (which I could do... I'm not 100% certain on it though pretty sure at the moment), even if they did look good on paper (saying all the right things in their manifesto), just in case it is a masquerade.

Many people want to leave for many reasons. Uninformed reasons, since they live under the delusion of being better off. Nobody really bothers to inform them on the bills they'd have to pay if they are actually leaving. Not only in the UK, but all the European parties campaigning for an exit. And there would be tremendous bills to pay in any case, and benefits being lost. So, as critical as I am on the current state of the EU, leaving wouldn't better the situation of the common folks. It would actually worsen matters.

Yeah i agree with you since awhile here and there there the Euro and now the Euro is falling in the conversion rates fall for the euro and pound.
Leaving the EU would only worsen the matter when you add onto the fact being independent with a large bill.

You just worry about your own country.
