I would laugh over the Repubs running on self destruct, if there was a desirable alternative in the democratic camp. But as it turns out, there isn't. Hilary will just deliver more of the same. No big turnaround, no listening to the actual needs of the population, no change in foreign policy, which, of course, concerns me the most.

Based on the 2012 election the Dems would have to pick up over 212,000 votes to swing Arizona Blue.
Right now Hillary is losing votes compared to where she was in 2008. Since there are more voters now than there was in 2008 she should have gained some more instead of losing them. She's going to get the nomination but expect her to get her ass handed to her in November.

Oh, and in Texas Hillary needs to pick up over 1,261,000 new votes to out vote the Repubs based on the 2012 election. Good luck with that.
Yes, those states are the crucial states because they are swing states. Romney lost the election because he lost them. Trump is set to lose them. AND if he loses them it will cost him the election.
Texas won't be in play 2016, but give them another four years and they will be.

No, I don't think there will be a big turnaround myself; I'm no fool.
But when you consider that two or three Supreme Court nominations may open up in the next eight years, the thought of Trump filling those vacancies is awful. And while Hilary does have an odious record in voting for the Iraq invasion, supporting intervention in Syria, and so on, I don't think she'll be prodding China or Russia any time soon, and that's much more comforting than the thought of Trump and his planned provocations.
Sometimes business-as-usual truly is better than change, and I think this is one of those times.

Buy a clue.
Colorado has 9 votes, Nevada 6, New Mexico 5, and Florida 29 for a total of 49 votes. Romney got 206 votes. The additional 49 from those four States would have given him 255 total. He would still have lost the election. Remember, Romney won two more States than McCain. So those States could have an additional 100 million Dem voters among them in November and it won't matter because their number of electoral votes won't increase until after the next census.
Trump doesn't need the hispanic vote to win and it's silly and a waste of time for him to cater to it. He needs to go after Virginia 13, New Jersey 14, Michigan 16, Wisconsin 10, Ohio 18, New York 29, Pennsylvania 20. If he wins all of those and the 206 votes Romney got he will top out at 326, a major win. If he doesn't carry New York and Pennsylvania he could still get 277 votes with the others. He will win by 7. So Trump could win without Florida and the other States that have sizable hispanic voting blocs. That's why national polls are BS and irrelevant and a waste of money. If the Dems turn against Hillary in those few States she can continue to get rich by fluffing the Wall Streeters because she won't become President.

You think Trump has a shot at New York. That's silly. It isn't a swing state. It's blue as blue can be. That Trump overwhelming took the very few republicans in it means nothing. The vast majority of its voters are democrat and will vote that way. Clinton cleaned up there. Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania (perhaps), New Hampshire (perhaps) might go red but not all of them will. That's not enough. And Trump might actually make red as red as red can be Utah vote democrat. They really don't like him there. For a republican that kind of dislike in Utah is hard to achieve.
You are right that state polls not national ones matter. But Trump fares worse with the electorial college than nationally. He needs Florida and he's already lost it. He's Goldwater all over again.
There is one national demographic that does matter, women. We, and I do mean we, don't just not like him, it's visceral. I don't like H Clinton but to avoid Trump, I'll vote for her. And there are more female than male voters.

Trump almost got as many votes as Hillary in Florida and as a group the Repubs got a lot more votes than the Dems did there. So the odds are in Trump's favor that he will win Florida. That's another 29 votes for him.

The best you can say on her is that she isn't a lose cannon.
The Benghazi cover up (She made the claim some youtuber cause the murder of the marines and the US ambassador, while the ambassador was warning her for months all of this was about to go down and she did nothing)
Her personal server and top secret Email debockle
our right lying when ever asked about anything unfavorable.
Changing policies to fit whom ever she is speaking with to just tell them what they want to hear.
None of these things spell out 'loose cannon' to you?
In other words it is ok to lie and do your own thing so long as you don't cross the P/C line?

when did Trump lose Florida? All I see on the news is how Trump has pushed recorded turnouts in Fl, the Governor is on the short list to be VP, more republicans turned out to vote for trump than the dems that voted for Obama in the general election.

Yeah, Benghazi. That's a biggy for every credulous idiot on the extreme right.
I expected nothing less. Sometimes your smileys actually backfire like a nuclear device. Not that they wouldn't always go up in your face. The only question is the impact radius.
