Chemical castration:
"Chemical castration is castration via drugs, whether to reduce libido and sexual activity, to treat cancer, or otherwise. Unlike surgical castration, where the gonads are removed through an incision in the body, chemical castration does not remove organs, nor is it a form of sterilization."
Is it reversible, though? I know some chemical treatments have irreversible effects on the body.

To me whether castration is reversible or not, it's still cruel and unusual.

What about life sentences with no chance of parole?
I'm conflicted on it. Possibly for serial killers. Maybe not. I don't know. I've said it before, I don't think people are monsters. Even when they've done monstrous things, and I don't think we should treat them like monsters.

Still seems cruel and unusual to me. I will never think it's a good idea. Seems morally wrong to me. My mother taught me very few things that I still believe and one of them is that two wrongs don't make a right.

Unusual, perhaps. Cruel? I'd have to see a reasoned argument for that stance.

I mean, forcibly making changes to someone else's body as punishment against their will, sounds pretty cruel to me.

To me it's akin to suggesting we rape them back. I don't want anyone making any alterations to my body without my permission. I can't imagine living in a world where the government gets to decide whether I've done something bad enough to deserve some kind of alteration. Chemical or not it still alters your body.

You may be right. Believe it or not, I do have a compassionate side myself. I just don't expose it often.

We require children to be inoculated before they're admitted to schools, for the safety of the wider population. Do you also oppose that?
