Thanks to all and please keep the good work.
It is a small beginning but small things lead to great things.
Why the hell would we blame a nonexistent being on anything?
If you haven't noticed, we don't believe any gods exist. You are on an atheist forum, by the way.
Things that don't exist cannot cause other things to occur.
Just when I think you can't get any more moronic, you top yourself. Congratulations.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Blaming god is more humoring the delusions of the afflicted than a statement of a privately held position. Atheists don't actually think that god does anything, but some of us know enough to realize that god-speak is the most effective route into a thick skull.

In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. Very true.
This is why I reluctantly bring up attrocities caused by, or ordered by, the various god characters in religious texts. It causes way too many theists to think we actually believe in the gods, but do not like their actions depicted in the religious texts.

Actually very few atheists will blame a creature they don't believe in for atrocities.
Instead, they'll blame the followers of the religion and the ignorant primitives who wrote the "holy" book.

I doubt they'll find much of anything....but the survivors might like to see the type of firearm used to kill their family be the type of firearm that is banned, unlike our last gun ban fiasco. We have the last gun ban to thank for the ar15 in every possible sense. It drove the innovation, it drove the style, it drove the mindset.......without it there would be no ar15's to strangle the rifle market.
Might want to get it right next time.

I know it's an American thing to do ( ) but not all allies kill each other.
