Ithe was a great season, that at the beginning I don't think was predictable at all. Jon being resurrected was certainly highly predicted, but until the show itself gave us hints, no one was guessing that Cersei was going to rid herself of the Sparrows, and most of her other enemies as well, with wildfire and lose her son in the process and then ascend to the iron throne, nor that Theon and his sister would show up with a handy fleet for Dany, nor how Dany became Kal to the entire Dothraki people, nor that Arya would chose not to become a servant of the House of Black and White, nor even that Jon and Sansa would join together AND retake Winterfel.
The last episode was amazing. The first act was beautifullying written and scored, some of the best writing the show has ever had. I agree that this is the best season, except perhaps for season 1. Martin's story had become such an unwieldy monester by book 5 that I feel the show writers are benefited by being able to shed the books, now able to work a bit more freely. I was a tad bothered by the fast travel, especially Varys going to Westerns and back in 2 episodes, but meh, it's better than meandering around, and they did other things to imply the passage of time. I got over it. Ps, love Jons new warrior knot instead of his old emo hair. It is sexeh!

There was a plan: learn how to be a faceless assassin, then go on with her mission of killing the people in her list. Remember that she went to sleep "chanting" their names.every.day. And she might yet have given it all up, even needle. My point was simply that this season was not badly written or predictable. It may not have had huge plot twists, but it still had some great surprises. And those things that were predictable such as Arya, had the same set up in the books. Like now that we know Lyanna is Jons mom, I don't see people bemoaning how predictable Martin's writing was. Just the show.

Anyone notice in the track 'Light of the Seven', the choir seems to be repeatedly saying 'Arya'? Around the 4:45 mark...

Maybe I don't understand how it works, but where did Arya get that face?
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
