Why are you talking about. " fuckin pakis? "
I have no idea what your rebuttal to my first point really means.
I said don't use me as an example of people who have the advantage because they're in the majority in the area they live and tell me what I do and don't have to worry about.
Because you don't know.
Is that plain speaking enough for you to understand?
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Except that I do know, and I can refer your country's stats as easily as I can refer to my own. You, on the other hand...offer racially charged anecdotes...about how upset you are to feel left out of the white privilege you think doesn't exist.
-and now I know why you jumped on my comments about squandering that privilege......

Apologies, I didn't know you have stats on me not having to worry about how I sound beside of it taring my race.
Post them over.

Also, it's racially charged to talk about racist attacks my family has been through?
And these racist attacks against me and my family we didn't avail our white privilege?
I'm getting close to just ignoring you because I think your trolling for fun.

Actually, I just re read that again, and you've said I think white privilege doesn't exist, again, for something like the tenth time when I've said I think it exists.
I'm ignoring you because I think that's fair, you're not reading what I'm typing and I'll have to repay the favour

I'm reading what you're typing, and accurately conveying those sentiments that you've typed even when you cannot bring yourself to do the same. I was raised to be an unabashed, proud, and overt racist. I can say things in a plain language that you, perhaps, find uncomfortable. As others have mentioned...you don't hear yourself speaking, you truly don't recognize it.
I do....I have heard it, I do recognize it. It's -entirely- familiar to me despite the fact that we live in marginally disparate countries separated by an ocean and common language (lol). Now, ofc, you can wave that off...you can refuse to wonder why someone like myself is so familiar with these sorts of comments..chalk it up to coincidence, if you like. You can do that. You can ignore it too, if that makes you feel more comfortable.
But I know where these comments come from. It's not pretty. You feel as if you're under attack for your race....and you think that this shouldn;t be so, even if other people demonstrably are. That, Paul...-is- white privilege. You can either own that, or argue...ridiculously, embarrasingly .......until you're blue in the face....but that wont actually change any of this, it won't make white privilege disappear. You understand, brother?

Neither I nor Paul have to worry about how we sound. For whatever reason...it won't tar our "race"...an amusing thought on it's face...since a simple sequence would probably rule either of us out from membership in the Caucasian Cabal. Sure...sure...I've got the ginger beard and the hazel eyes, I look the part, and so I get the cred.......but I'm the only one of my siblings that doesn't have sickle cell......
If you want an argument to work you should really stop using me as an example of the things that won't happen to white people because their in the majority.

Well, that fucking sucks.
Coin the the phrase "Pakistani privilege" in your neck-of-the-woods...I won't argue you on it.
In the US, we generally do white privilege, though.
This thread really comes down to you not having a clear handle on the words, "all" and "only" or "here" and "there".
And some other stuff, apparently.
I think America is off the charts for white privilege. It exists in Europe too, but America... You can have a presidential candidate who is married to a Slovenian woman, who wants to kick the Mexicans and Muslims out.
But oh, she's white, so she's not a trespasser... it's just Manifest Destiny (in capital letters for a reason, look that phrase up) that The US is a white country, after all.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable."- Maryam Namazie
The white umbrella has gotten bigger, over here...over the years. Used to be that my whitest claim wouldn't make me white.
