Btw, this is only body shaming if body shaming is all you care about and as a result you see body shaming in every satire. This is satire based on the universal knowledge of the fable about the foolish and vainglorious emperor not wearing cloth.

You see this primarily as a reference to the emperor's new clothes? I find that far-fetched.

Yes. It's not the first time trump has been thus satirized in cartoons and in skits. And his egomaniacal acceptance speech at RNC, unconscious of any conventional national political speech decorum, certainly call the comparison immediately to mind.

You think you know what "the Hillary supporters" think? Where did you find that crystal ball?

In observing their past behavior. I've seen people on my facebook scream misogyny when people make fun of Hillary's pantsuits. I think it's fair to say that a naked statue would provoke an over the top reaction.

Thus sayeth the NY Parks Dept.

I don't have a problem with the naked Donald Statue, I think it's funny. I also don't have a problem with him calling Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig. If you think Donald Trump is too crude and yet think a naked statue is fine, I have an article for you to read:

No it isn't his language, it is his language in his position. This isn't an episode of Jerry Springer or even South Park. Just like you don't wear torn jeans and a tee shirt at the Ritz Carlton. He has no concept of time, place and context. No western world leader should ever behave like that.

It is my understanding, that the naked Trump statue was the work of an anarchist organization - not Hilary Clinton.
Quote:In an interview with the Washington Post, INDECLINE explained that they wanted humiliate Trump while nodding towards his authoritarian tendencies, as dictators often erect statues of themselves.

The group is also behind putting names of black men killed by the police on Hollywood stars and painting an anti-Trump rape mural on the US-Mexico border.

If you can't see the difference between a bunch of punks pulling off a "stunt" and a public figure - a prospective President of US - publicly, consistently and unapologetically behaving the way Trump does - then here's some reading material for you:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_equivalence

Sometimes double standard is necessary, because we're talking about TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. We need to expect higher standard of behaviour from our leaders, than from a bunch of random jackasses, ffs... If Trump was doing his tasteless, low-brow shtick in a park somewhere, as opposed to on international media - almost nobody would give a f*ck, I assure you.

There is a reality, that if this were done to Hillary, her supporters would be losing their minds! They'd be screaming misogyny for sure and probably racism for some reason or another.

You're kidding, right? Have you listened to Rush Limbaugh and other right wing crazies' descriptions of Mrs. Clinton lately? Are you not aware of the sewage that is spewed about her appearance?
Also, Grump bragged about the size of his own penis on a national debate stage, so his puny dick size (and small, baby hands) is fair game.

Grump has the right to say whatever he wants about Rosie O'Donnell, true. But he or anyone else doesn't have the right to be protected from any negative blow-back or backlash to his ill-mannered comments. If Grump wants to tweet inflammatory opinions, no one's stopping him but he'd better not cry when someone then makes a naked statue of his sorry-looking ass.

Yeah I am aware of it, and people go berserk and scream misogyny over it. Which is exactly why I think they'd do the same in triplicate over an insulting naked statue.
